In order to protect the collection of floating objects, the shaking table test method was used to study the slippage response of floating objects under earthquake action. Based on the actual size of a museum showcase, produced a 1: 1 ratio model. Considering that the bottom of the showcase is fixed on the vibrating tabletop and the glass artifacts are floated inside the showcase, the slippage response of the model under earthquake action is studied. Through the input of seismic waves of different types and intensities, the acceleration, displacement response and dynamic amplification factor of the typical nodes of the cultural relics were obtained. The influences of different frictional conditions were discussed and the experimental results were analyzed theoretically. The results show that with the increase of seismic intensity and the decrease of the friction coefficient between the cultural relics and the display platform, the gliding response of the cultural relic tends to be obvious. Therefore, in order to reduce the damage caused by slippage of cultural relics, there should be a large coefficient of friction between the display table and the cultural relics, and there should be certain requirements for the minimum size of the display table to avoid artifacts resulting from excessive slippage drop.
