缺乏合适动物平台是神经退行性疾病研究受到阻碍的主要因素之一。秀丽隐杆线虫因其独特的结构和功能已成为生物学不同领域中常用的模式生物。线虫是第一个拥有完整基因组测序的多细胞生物,且与人类基因之间具有高度的保守性。它神经系统结构简单,但其神经元功能和神经递质与哺乳动物具有同源性,是研究神经退行性疾病的良好在体模型。临床治疗神经退行性疾病仍缺乏有效药物,许多现有药物疗效不佳且存在一定的不良反应,传统中药在这方面有着不可忽视的优势。将线虫模型用于神经退行性疾病研究及中药干预作用中具有重要意义。
The lack of suitable animal platforms is one of the major hindrances to the study of neurodegenerative diseases. Caenorhabditis elegans has become a model organism commonly used in different fields of biology due to its unique structure and function. The nematode was the first multicellular organism to have a complete genome sequence and was highly conserved among human genes. Its simple structure of the nervous system, but its neuronal function and neurotransmitter homology with mammals, is a good in vivo model of neurodegenerative diseases. Clinical treatment of neurodegenerative diseases are still lack of effective drugs, many of the current drug efficacy is poor and there are some adverse reactions, traditional Chinese medicine in this area has a non-negligible advantage. Nematode model for neurodegenerative diseases and the role of Chinese medicine intervention is of great significance.
