In the early twentieth century, the United States launched a vigorous new poetry movement in poetry circles. The main force in the United States was the image school headed by Pound and the symbolism poetry represented by T.S Eliot, which influenced the poetry creation after the United States. However, these very modern poetry techniques come from the distant and ancient East. Chinese classical poetry is highly praised by the imagery. In China, almost at the same time during the May Fourth New Culture Movement, the emergence of new Chinese poetry was closely linked with the translation and influence of Western poetry in China at that time. The two developed together and prospered in the early 20th century. This is not only a grand event in the history of Chinese and Western literature exchanges, but also a wonderful work in the history of world literature exchanges.
