《扁豆》一文写于1927年前后,当时苏雪林刚从法国留学归来,正值新婚之后,在苏州东吴大学教书。其心其境恬淡随意,行文便也清新素朴,又不失娇俏多姿,甚有“小桥流水人家”之妙。文章以康(文中人物)“有意无意”的一句话轻轻撩起,“扁豆”的形象便在作者闲适淡雅的心境里,踏着轻快的鼓点,在竹篮、石阶铺染的背景里跳脱而出;于是初初落笔即涌动了一股鲜活的生命与动感。随手抛出的一粒种子,竟不顾土地的贫瘠和无人问询的冷落,“在乱草和蒺藜里开花,并且结满了粒粒的豆荚”,这是怎样一种蓬勃的生命冲动啊!这又
The article “Lentils” was written around 1927 when Su Xuelin returned from studying in France. After the wedding, he taught at Soochow University in Suzhou.
