<Abstract>The three movies, c0mbined as a "Father Trilogy", expose Ang Lee’s key tone-general tolerance. His movies, surviving in the gap between Eastern and Western culture, could be considered as a bridge among the two different traditions.Following his first movie Pushing Hands, a cautious tryout, his second work- The Wedding Banquet-put him on the pinnacle of creation. While Eat Drink Man Woman sustains the feeling of "there never was a feast but the guests had to depart", reminding people all good things must come to an end, and thus, drew a stop skillfully for his tril0gy.Forming distinct artistic traits, Ang Lee rigorously pursues his creative principle, technique should be in the service of story’ And showed it in his sober and restrain camera shots, as well as plain and smooth editing.
