The famous American journalist Edgar Snow is famous for his masterpiece “Red Star Shines on China.” It was also labeled “Red” because of the coverage of the Chinese Communist Party and the Red Army under its leadership. In the 1940s, In the early 1950s, it was subjected to extremely unfair treatment in the United States and its reporter career was seriously disturbed. As a symbol of the era of the 1950s, McCarthyism is the root cause of the unfair treatment of journalist Snow. McCarthy’s political persecution against Snow was implemented through the complete chain of the FBI-Congress-Media-Anti-Commonwealth Alliance. The textual research helps to improve Snow’s research and helps to recognize the usual trick of American rightwing anti-communists.
