Objective To explore the dynamic electroencephalogram (AEEG) of patients with cerebral vascular disease and its clinical significance in prognosis. Methods One hundred and ninety-nine patients with cerebrovascular disease coma were examined by 24 h AEEG. The prognosis of patients was followed up for 3 months. The results of AEEG were compared with those of clinical follow-up. Results Among the 31 patients with AEEGI grade, 4 (12.9%) died in 3 months, 5 (17.9%) of 28 patients with grade Ⅱ died, and 9 (45.0%) died of grade III in 20 patients. Of the 14 patients in grade IV, 8 (57.1%) died and 36 (58.9%) patients in grade V died. The patients showed an increased mortality (P <0.05) as the level of AEEG increased. Sober up mostly seen in AEEG Ⅰ level, Ⅱ level patients. Conclusion AEEG plays an important role in the assessment of coma prognosis of cerebrovascular disease.
