With the increasing complexity of modern engineering construction, problems such as skills shortages, high costs, and quality-related defects are also increasing. In this article, the author interviewed Will Pitt, the design and development manager of NG Bailey (UK Bailey), and David Wedmore, quality control manager, who described how Bayley promoted the implementation of a new quality management system. (QCMS) to promote “the first time to do ” culture, and how to promote the detection and defect management system based on tablet computers, so as to find quality problems, drive improvement from all aspects.
