广东探矿工艺研究队设计研制、局探矿机械厂生产的GY-54型液动冲击器，用于金刚石冲击迴转钻进，已在六个队（九个矿区）试验和推广，投入冲击器十五套，据不完全统计，完成金刚石冲击迴转钻进工作量117444.62米，完工钻孔27个，平均小时效率比迴转钻进提高16％—112％，回次进尺增加12％—106％，完工钻孔质量全优，“打滑”地层钻进问题基本得到解决，获得了显著的技术经济效果。
