1977年,刘和刚出生于黑龙江省拜泉县永勤乡立功村。这是一个仅有40户村民的小山村,是拜泉县最偏僻的地方。刘和刚的父亲刘滋溪、母亲伊艳芹是1963年从山东老家逃荒来到这里的。夫妻俩生育了两个女儿,一个儿子。最小的孩子就是刘和刚。刘和刚的母亲天生一副好嗓子,从母亲那里,小和刚学会的第一首歌是《沂蒙小调》。唱起《沂蒙小调》的小和刚,声音如同潺潺的溪流一般清脆动听。稍大一点儿后,刘和刚就跟着家里的“戏匣子”学。很快学会了《骏马奔驰保边疆》《乌苏里船歌》等。从小学到初中,小和刚都是学校宣传队的骨干。从小,刘和刚的心里就有一个梦：“长大后,做一个歌唱家。”
In 1977, Liu Hegang was born in Liquan Village, Yongqin Township, Baiquan County, Heilongjiang Province. This is a small village of 40 villagers, is the most remote place in Baiquan County. Liu Hegang’s father, Liu Zixi, and his mother, Yi Yanqin, flee here from their hometown in Shandong in 1963. The couple gave birth to two daughters and one son. The youngest child is Liu Hegang. Liu Hegang’s mother was born with a good voice. From her mother, Xiao He just learned that the first song was “Yimeng Minor”. Singing “Yimeng minor” small and just, the sound is like a gurgling stream generally crisp and pleasant. After a little bigger, Liu He just followed the family’s “play box” learning. Quickly learned the “horse Mercedes-Benz Paul border” “Wusuli boat song” and so on. From primary school to junior high school, Little and Gang are the backbone of the school propaganda team. As a child, Liu Hegang had a dream in his heart: “When you grow up, be a singer.”
