In the past 15 years, the tomato sauce processing industry in Xinjiang has developed rapidly. Since the first production of tomato sauce in Xinjiang’s Korla region in 1980, along with the vigorous development of China’s international trade, coupled with Xinjiang’s unique geographical and tomato resources, Xinjiang’s tomato sauce processing industry has developed an unprecedented momentum of development. At present, there are nearly 40 tomato ketchup manufacturers in Xinjiang, including those imported from Italy.
