当代青年画家接受的传统绘画教育是被西方艺术感染之后的教育,因而水墨的样式和中国画的概念被局限在西方的理论范畴,甚至以西方的艺术理论价值标准来衡量当代中国美术的状态。于是现代中国画不再讲究意境,单纯寻找视觉冲击力。近代徐渭、虚谷、林凤眠、傅抱石等画家在突破传统的同时从观念层次上拓宽了中国画的笔墨语言,照样创造出“气韵生动”的境界。如何真正继承传统拓展新的语言成为当代中国画必须面对的问题。
The traditional painting education accepted by contemporary young painters is the education after being infected by western art. Therefore, the style of ink painting and the concept of Chinese painting are confined to the theoretical category of the West, and even measure the state of contemporary Chinese art with the Western art theory value standard. So modern Chinese painting is no longer about the mood, simply looking for visual impact. In modern times, such artists as Xu Wei, Xu Gu, Lin Fengmian and Fu Baoshi extended their traditions and broadened the pen and ink language of Chinese painting from the conceptual level, creating the realm of vivid atmosphere. How to truly inherit the tradition to develop new languages has become a problem that contemporary Chinese paintings must face.
