实践的发展，需要我们重新认识公有制为主体的问题。笔者在文章中认为：坚持公有制为主体，不是社会发展的最终目的；公有制为主体，不能简单理解为国有制为主体，且公有制的性质不变，但形式可以改变；以公有制为主体，是就全国和整个国民经济而言的；以公有制为主体，不仅要看“数量”，更要看“质量”；以公有制为主体，不仅是指以实物形态出现的公有制资产，而且包含以货币资金形态出现的公有制资产；随着市场经济的发展，公有制与非公有制经济的融合，是必然趋势。
