According to Kawasaki Technical Review’s January 2008 report, an advanced super-reheat (URA) turbine was developed for the next generation of LNG (liquefied natural gas) vessel propulsion equipment that provides significant efficiency and reliability Maintainability. The FEM (Finite Element Method) is used to analyze the thermodynamic characteristics of the existing UR reheat steam turbine. The thermodynamic characteristics of the URA reheat turbine are analyzed.
