The intravenous berberine D, 0.5 mg/Kg, contained in the stems of Bupleurum chinense, increased the coronary sinus flow, decreased the arterial and venous oxygen deficits, and reduced the arterial oxygen level by 14% at 3 minutes. The heart rate slows down; the oxygen consumption of the myocardium increases, but it is lower than the increase of the flow rate. The increase of arteriovenous oxygen caused by epinephrine has a reversal effect. When catecholamine causes increased oxygen consumption in the myocardium, it can significantly reduce it, indicating that it has an anti-ischemic effect. This product has the effect of strengthening the contraction force on the resident cat heart, has no effect on the flow of the left coronary artery of the dog, the resistance does not decrease, there is no β-receptor blocking effect, and the safety range of intravenous injection is small.
