GEM(Gas Electron Multiplier)探测器是由CERN(欧洲核子中心)的F.Sauli等在1997年发明的,是微型气体探测器的典型代表。
The GEM (Gas Electron Multiplier) detector was invented by F.Sauli of CERN (European Nuclear Center) in 1997 and is a typical representative of the micro gas detector. Currently, GEM detectors are widely used in several large-scale experimental installations or upgrades internationally. For example, the SoLID spectrometer on Hall A in the ongoing 12GeV upgrade project at JLab Laboratory in the United States (Jefferson National Laboratory) , On which GEM detectors are distributed.
