一本篇的目的是想对于所谓“理论的知识”做一个比较满意的解释。亦可以说这就是一种知识论。原来我这个意见曾蓄在心中有好多年。最初使我得着一些暗示乃是由于我发见西洋哲学上的问题大半不是中国人脑中所有的问题。我因此乃觉得西方与东方在心理上,换言之,即在思想的路子上,确有不同。根据这一点,又使我不得不承认西方人所有的知识论不能不加以修正。因为西方人的知识论是把西方人的知识即视为人类普遍的知识,而加以论究。然殊不知西方人的知识仅是人类知识中之一种而已,在此以外,确尚有其他。……①
The purpose of a book is to give a more satisfactory explanation of the so-called “theoretical knowledge.” It can also be said that this is a theory of knowledge. It turned out that my opinion had been stored in my heart for many years. Initially, I got some hints but because most of the problems I have seen in Western philosophy are not all problems in the minds of Chinese people. I therefore feel that the West and the East are psychologically, in other words, on the path of thought, indeed different. According to this, it made me have to admit that all the knowledge of the Westerners can not be amended. Because Westerners ’epistemology considers Westerners’ knowledge as the universal knowledge of mankind. However, it is not known that knowledge of Westerners is only one of human knowledge, and beyond that, there are others. ... ... ①
