词汇衔接是实现语篇连贯的重要手段之一。本文以胡壮麟、朱永生对词汇衔接的分类为理论框架,将词汇衔接分为七类。经分析发现,大学非英语专业学生的作文中误用和滥用词汇衔接的情况比较常见,而汉语负迁移是造成词汇衔接错误的主要原因,教师缺乏针对性的指导是重要原因。研究结果表明,在写作教学中,指导学生正确使用衔接机制、把词汇教学与语篇教学相结合,以及提高对英汉两种语言差异性的认识,是十分必要的工作。
Lexical cohesion is one of the important means to achieve discourse coherence. This article takes Hu Zhuang-lin and Zhu Yong-sheng’s classification of lexical cohesion as the theoretical framework, and divides lexical cohesion into seven categories. Through analysis, it is found that misuse and misuse of lexical cohesion are more common in essays written by non-English majors in colleges and universities. Negative transfer of Chinese is the main reason for lexical cohesion errors. Teachers’ lack of pertinent guidance is an important reason. The results show that in the teaching of writing, it is necessary to guide the students to correctly use the cohesion mechanism, combine vocabulary teaching with text teaching, and raise awareness of the differences between English and Chinese.
