Hainan Island is an important transfer station for China’s maritime Silk Road. With the prosperity of overseas trade in the Song Dynasty, the strategic position of Hainan Island has been rapidly upgraded, and the status in the military geo-structure has been gradually taken seriously. In response to the complicated situation of “encircling the sea from the sea to the sea,” Song continued to send more troops here and set up a number of territories, such as Dading, Zadin and the Water Army. By setting up both the inspection department, the army and the army are inspecting the ambassadors and other military-related agencies to strengthen their military rule so as to ensure security. However, due to the restricted sea and the inconvenient traffic in Hainan Island, Song Ting’s military establishment in Hainan Island is still inadequate and hardly achievable.
