湘研 2 0号为晚熟微辣型一代杂交品种。其母本 86 15是对从安徽引进的一地方品种采用单株选择法经多代自交纯化选育的中熟、抗病、优质自交系 ,父本 9-4为晚熟、大果、优质高代自交系。湘研 2 0号熟性晚 ,从定植至采收 6 0d左右 ,产量 30 0 0~5 0 0 0kg/ 6 6 7m2 ,抗病、抗逆性强 ,耐湿、耐热 ,能越夏栽培 ;既适于湖区、江河沿岸作晚熟栽培 ,也适宜于北方大棚作晚熟延后栽培。果实粗牛角形 ,绿色 ,果粗、大、长 ,果肉厚 ,微辣 ,皮光无皱 ,商品性好。已在湖南、湖北、河南、安徽等省种植 ,面积达2 0 0 0hm2 。
