The instrument consists of 4 sections. Part 1 consists of 3 emitters, 1 monopole, and 2 directional high-output, broadband dipoles that generate bending waves in the X-axis and Y-axis that are close to the shear wave velocity of the formation. The second part is sound insulation body. Acoustic insulation is used to attenuate the energy of direct waves that propagate along the instrument body between transmission and reception. These sound insulation bodies were developed using a new “based on the sprung mass principle.”
