Objective To investigate the relationship between microvascular count (MVC) and clinicopathological features and prognosis of colorectal cancer. Methods Immunohistochemistry and mouse anti-human CD34 monoclonal antibody were used to mark the microvessels in 43 cases of colorectal cancer. The microvessels were counted and analyzed with histological grade, depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis and prognosis And Dukes staging relationship. Results MVC was closely related to the depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis, Dukes stage (stage AB and CD) (P <0.01 or P <0.05), but not to histological grade (P> 0.05) The 5-year survival rate of 169.2 colorectal cancer patients was lower (P <0.05). Conclusion MVC can be used as one of the reliable indicators to judge the clinicopathological features and prognosis of colorectal cancer.
