WCDMA 的 R4版本于2001年3月冻结,且厂商设备已趋于成熟稳定。因此,WCDMA 核心网采用 R4版本已不容置疑。而R4的“控制与承载分离”的特性,使运营商纷纷选择“大容量,少局所”的核心网建设原则。所以,核心网的备份策略十分重要。本文就 MSC Pool 这一 MSCServer 的备份技术进行解析。3GPP TS23.236“Intra-do-main connection of Radio AccessNetwork(RAN)nodes to mul-tiple Core Network(CN)nodes”定义了核心网控制节点(MSC,SGSN)以池组方式工作的机制。这打破了以往 RNC 与 MSC 间一对一的控制关系,如图1所示。
