20世纪70年代以来,光纤通信以其大的通信带宽、低损耗、长距离传输、高的比特成本效率等独特优点,力压群芳,成为整个通信领域的核心并强力推动了整个信息领域的发展。在整个光纤通信发展过程中可以总结出一些规律性的认识,诸如需求拉动-技术推动规律、辩证法的三个基本规律(量变-质变、对立统一、否定之否定)。结合光纤通信发展中的某些实例阐述了对这些规律的认识,正确认识与运用这些规律,有助于启发一些创新的思路。并在此基础上提出与光纤通信网络和与之相关的光电子器件的发展方向。
