As the most representative and liberalized commercial media in the world, the U.S. media are completely commercialized in both their internal operations and news selection and reporting. This article first shows a series of changes that have taken place in political reports in the United States today. Its political reports are increasingly entertaining, regionalized and surfaced. Subsequently, the reasons for the commercialization of political reporting were analyzed from the change of the U.S. electoral act and the increasingly fierce competition among the media. Finally, this article looks at the attitude of the U.S. public to reporting on the commercialization of politics. The American public is increasingly rational about the political news.
