《菲莉达》是南非当代著名作家安德烈·布林克于2012年8月推出的一部力作,它成功入围当年布克奖长名单。该小说以作者家族的史实为依托,讲述了女奴菲莉达追求自由的悲惨遭遇。作家在鞭挞腐朽的奴隶制的同时,也希冀通过这部小说向在奴隶制束缚下,如菲莉达般伟大、坚强、勇敢的女性致敬。本论文拟将作为新作推荐,以期有更多的读者能领略到这部作品的非凡魅力。
“Felida” is a masterpiece by the contemporary well-known writer Andrey Brink in South Africa in August 2012, it was shortlisted in the list of award recipients. Relying on the historical facts of the author’s family, the novel tells the story of the tragic death of the female slave Felicida. While scolding decadent slavery, the writer also hoped to pay tribute to the great, strong and courageous woman Felix, under the bondage of slavery, through this novel. This paper is intended to be recommended as a new work, with a view to more readers can appreciate the extraordinary charm of this work.
