After the opening of the Duolun Museum of Art in 2002, the well-to-do neighborhoods and designated tourist spots mixed with contemporary art institutions once made Duolun Road a place on Shanghai’s art map. In a sense, at the moment when the art institution captives itself, Duolun Road is the seemingly closest aspect to the connection between contemporary art and everyday life that is becoming more and more sociological. Even on the surface, due to the personnel turmoil at the Duolun Museum of Art several years ago, it has also become increasingly apparent. With the Osasan Shanghai site moved from the current site of Duolun Road closer to downtown this August Xingguo Road, the strange scenery will cease to exist, this L-shaped cultural celebrities back to the streets eight years ago, residential and tourist souvenir shops in the lively but monotonous situation.
