As we all know, Japanese writer Haruki Murakami more focused on American works than Japanese literature, he himself admitted that the most influential writer Fitzgerald, and with Fitzgerald in the same period Carson McCalle Sri Lanka. Through textual reading, Haruki Murakami’s novel The Sptynick Lover can be found with many similarities to Carson McCullers’ novel Heart Is Lonely Hunter: From the subject’s consistency - Loneliness, to the similarity of characters, to the application of homosexuality. Although Haruki Murakami and Carson McCullers are heterogeneous in culture, they both start from homosexuality and express their concern about the situation after the loss of human faith after the death of God. This kind of research across the East and West cultures helps to better promote dialogue and communication among different cultures.
