中国是水墨画的发源地,历史悠久,近代美术史论著作,对浩如烟海的传统美学古文献,始终未能做出现代的准确定位。因此,如何理解水墨的内涵也是我们在海外开展水墨画交流时遇到的最大的难点。不过,西方现代社会正逐步回归崇尚自然,所以水墨画的艺术理念,在西方的文化氛围中,仍可找到对应切入的交流方式,那么中国传统美学的现代定位,对世界美术的发展和贡献将不可估量。
