It was found that cyanocobinamide (CN-Cbi) can be reduced at about -0.50V. Thereduction process has an EC mechanism, i.e. the electrochemical reduCtion of CN-Cbi isaccompanied by a decyanation of CN-Cbi. The electrochemical characteristics of CN-Cbi andvitamin B12 were compared.
