卢文祥教授:机电一体化(Mechatronics)一词派生于机械、电子学(Mechanical,electronic).机电一体化应如何定义?迄今尚未统一,从目前机械工业技术的发展来理解,可以认为,“机电一体化这个词乃是在机构的主功能、动力功能、信息处理功能和控制功能上引进了电子技术,并将机械装置和电子设备以及软件等有机结合起来构成系统的总称”.因此,从某种意义上讲,机电一体化技术是系统工程学在机械、电子行业中的运用.或者说,机电一体化是微电子学、信息科学、机械学的有机结合.
