吉雅其神是黑龙江近代少数民族普遍奉祀的牲畜保护神。它起源于蒙古族 ,相继传播到其他民族。在传播过程中不断地适应各民族的经济形式而演变与发展 ,成为包括自然崇拜、祖先崇拜、图腾崇拜的多种崇拜的综合体。本文通过对黑龙江省民族博物馆收藏与展示的吉雅其神画像的形制、内容、功能以及吉雅其神的传说、祭祀等方面的介绍、分析 ,反映了北方少数民族原始宗教的思想观念和相沿成习的祭祀风俗。揭示了少数民族文物所蕴涵的丰富的文化信息。
