Objective: To improve the safety of traditional Chinese medicine injections. METHODS: A prospective multicenter randomized controlled trial was used to select hospitalized cases from October 2006 to May 2007 in the First Central Hospital of Tianjin and the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The subjects were randomly divided into control groups and interventions. The group adopted interventions such as publicity and education, administrative interventions, and supervision and inspections to intervene in the use of TCM injections for indication factors, and observed changes in the incidence of adverse reactions to analyze the results of the intervention group and the control group. Results: Compared with the control group, the indications for TCM injections in the intervention group were more reasonable (P<0.05), the incidence of adverse reactions was significantly lower (P<0.01), the clinical curative effect was also significantly improved (P<0.01), and the average hospital cost Declined. Conclusion: The incidence of adverse reactions after the indication intervention is greatly reduced and the intervention is effective.
