Objective: To explore the relationship between locomotive driver occupational stress and driving accidents, safety measures and attitude towards driving safety regulations and unit management system. Methods: The questionnaires were used to investigate the occupational stress factors, stressful outcomes, traffic accidents and safety measures in the work of 1116 male locomotive drivers. Results: In the event of an accident, the driver was more nervous than the driver did not have an accident. The driver who often took the emergency brake was nervous and the score was higher than that of the emergency response. Emergency braking was adopted. Those who voluntarily abided by the driving safety regulations and the unit’s management system Tension and stress scores were significantly lower than those who considered that these measures were not necessary and that they were too restrictive of themselves. Conclusion: Suggesting that different attitudes toward safety measures and management systems have a great impact on the tension experienced by locomotive drivers.
