We have been receiving our monthly copies of Women of China magazine on a regular basis and have added the title to our periodical list. Students use the magazine for browsing more that research. There are two reasons for this. First, the photographs and ads are interesting and provide a look at Chinese life and the Chinese language students benefit from the Chinese captions. Second, the periodical is not indexed in any of the major indexing sources or databases, so students looking for information on a particular topic would have to look at all the issues to see if there was a pertinent article.
