1983—1986年,由湖南省粮油生产局、湖南农学院麦类研究室、湖南省作物研究所及有关地县科研推广单位100多人,组成大麦—双季(杂交)稻三熟亩产吨粮高产攻关研究协作组,连续三年多点进行了大麦—双季(杂交)稻亩产吨粮高产攻关技术综合研究,取得了较好的效果。
