Objective To discuss the implementation methods of long-distance trans-shipment for critically ill patients and the problems that should be paid attention to in order to increase the success rate of trans-shipment. Methods A retrospective analysis of the implementation of long-distance transport in 206 critically ill patients was performed. 204 (99.03%) of 204 critically ill patients were safely transported to the destination and 2 (0.97%) died. Conclusions The long-distance transshipment risk of critical patients is high. It is technically difficult to use well-trained medical personnel to fully understand the condition of the patient, monitor it closely, and deal with dangerous situations correctly. This can minimize the risk to the patient during transit.
