Due to the complicated twists and turns of the coastline and the large number of islands, the disputes over the maritime territory and marine resources such as the ownership of islands and demarcation of sea areas between the countries in Northeast Asia basically exist among themselves. However, these disputes, like occasional bombs, can be detonated at any time due to an emergency and have a significant impact on the relations among nations and the regional situation.
