东风汽车公司科技信息研究所总工程师程振彪研究员近期编译了大量情报资料，深入地研究了近年来世界汽车工业发展的新特点。在当前我国面临加入WTO和用高新技术改造传统产业的浪潮不断涌现的新形势下，中国要不要继续发展汽车工业已成为许多业内人士讨论的重要课题和争论焦点。程总工程师认为：“中国必须坚定不移地发展汽车工业”。程总的这一结论，是通过大量资料分析、深入思考后得出的。本刊现分3次以《汽车工业的重要地位和作用》、《汽车工业不会变成夕阳产业》、《客观条件和某些副作用不能阻止汽车工业的发展》为题摘要发表这一论证的国外佐证资料，供读者参考。
Researcher Cheng Zhenwei of Dongfeng Motor Company’s Institute of Science and Technology Information recently compiled a large amount of intelligence information to thoroughly study the new features of the development of the world’s automotive industry in recent years. Under the new situation in which China is currently faced with the surge of accession to the WTO and the transformation of traditional industries with high technologies, whether China will continue to develop the automobile industry has become an important issue and controversy for discussion among many in the industry. Chief engineer Cheng believes: “China must unswervingly develop the automotive industry.” Cheng’s conclusion was drawn through extensive data analysis and in-depth thinking.
