Independent research and development of mass spectrometers and their industrial production can be a very meaningful task. The mass spectrometer’s principle of operation determines that the core components (mass analyzer and detector) need to be operated under vacuum, so designing the mass spectrometer’s vacuum system is fundamental to mass spectrometry research and development. In this paper, ESI ion trap mass spectrometry research prototype vacuum system design.
