由于冶炼新技术的采用,转炉操作条件变得越来越苛刻。因而需要一种能适应这种要求的转炉衬材料。国外已注重研究使用镁碳砖,并取得了较好的效果。为提高武钢转炉炉龄,研制新的转炉衬材料,在武钢科技处的组织下,由武钢耐火厂、武钢钢研所、武钢二炼钢厂,和武汉钢铁学院组成了镁碳砖试制组。经过一年的努力,研制成含碳量为20%的转炉用镁碳砖,其理化指标内达到或超过国内外同类产品的指标。并先后在武钢第二炼钢厂70吨盛钢桶渣线及50吨转炉耳轴部位试用,取得了较好的效果。试用结果表明:镁碳砖性能良好,是有发展前途的新型耐火材料。
Due to the adoption of new smelting technologies, converter operating conditions have become more demanding. Thus there is a need for a converter lining material that can accommodate this requirement. Foreign countries have focused on the use of magnesium carbon brick, and achieved good results. In order to improve the furnace age of WISCO, a new converter lining material was developed. Under the organization of WISCO Science and Technology Department, a trial group of magnesia-carbon bricks was formed by WISCO, WISCO, WISCO No.2 Steelmaking Plant and Wuhan Iron and Steel Institute. After one year of hard work, we developed a magnesia-carbon brick for converter with a carbon content of 20%, and reached or exceeded the targets of similar products at home and abroad within its physical and chemical indexes. And in the Second Steel Plant of Wuhan Iron and Steel Company 70 tons of slag drum line and 50 tons converter trunking trial, and achieved good results. The trial results show that: magnesium carbon brick performance is good, there is a promising new refractory material.
