我队机修工人在文化大革命期间，曾成功的将Z—1.0型（0.85瓩）和Z—1.7型（1.3瓩）直流发电机改制成单相交流同步发电机，提高了容量一倍以上，满足了机场上的照明需要。1973年，机修职工又在批林整风的大好形势下，遵循毛主席“破除迷信，解放思想”的教导，认真学习兄弟厂矿的先进经验，在原来改进的基础上，进一步简化结构，将0.85瓩直流发电机改制成具有先进水平的三次谐波励磁交流发电机。
