已有若干涉及水稻基因雄性不育与细胞质雄性不育的报告,但在此试验的初期却无提高杂种群体异型杂交的雄性不育基因可资利用。本试验的目的在于诱发可用于水稻改良的轮回选择计划和回交育种规划的雄性不育突变体;试材是采用适应于日本温带栽培中熟品种之一“日本优”的干种子,用三种诱变剂处理:γ射线照射剂量为2和3万伦,剂量率24伦/小时;0.2%浓度溶液EI(乙烯亚胺)浸种2小时;10毫克分子溶液NMU(亚硝基—N—甲基尿烷)浸种4小时。被EI和NMU浸过的种子均用自来水冲洗15小时。每个处理的种子数和M_1至M_3种植的株数、系数、系统数见表。
Several reports of male sterility and cytoplasmic male sterility in rice have been reported, but no male sterility gene was found to be available at the early stages of the trial for heterotypic hybridization in hybrids. The purpose of this experiment was to induce male sterile mutants that could be used for the plan of round-robin selection and backcross breeding in paddy rice. The test material was made by using dry seeds adapted to Japan Nipponbare, Seed treatment with mutagens: Gamma ray irradiation doses of 2 and 3 000 lun with a dose rate of 24 h / h; seed soaking in 0.2% strength solution EI (ethyleneimine) for 2 h; 10 mM NMU (nitroso-N- Methyl urethane) for 4 hours. Both EI and NMU seeds were rinsed with tap water for 15 hours. The number of seeds for each treatment and the number of plants grown from M_1 to M_3, the coefficients, and the number of systems are shown in the table.
