Recently, I once again looked at the “Heavenly Creations” of the Ming Dynasty scientist Song Yingxing and saw two illustrations of silver mining in the Ming Dynasty. It is quite interesting. These two pictures, one for the “mining silver”, one for the “mine map”, published in Ming Chong Zhen ten years (1637) “Heavenly Creations” the beginning moment. Although these two illustrations do not reflect the whole picture of the silver mines in the Ming Dynasty, they generally illustrate some aspects of the silver mines exploitation in the Ming Dynasty. Coupled with the clear lines of this map, there are marked in the picture, in the ancient style revealed an angry, in fact, to study the ancient Chinese, especially the Ming Dynasty silver mine development history valuable image data.
