The Rho family is one of the members of the Ras superfamily of small and medium molecular weight G proteins. The Rho subfamily members RhoA, RhoB, and RhoC are abnormally expressed in a variety of malignant tumors and are involved in the occurrence and development of tumors. They regulate the polymerization of actin filaments, affect the polarity and morphology of cells, and thus in cell movement, Cell-cell and cell-matrix adhesions and extracellular matrix remodeling are involved in tumor cell invasion. An in-depth study of the Rho subfamily will help deepen the understanding of tumor invasion and provide specific, multi-targeted therapies to prevent tumor metastasis.
