As we all know, absolute income and health are closely related, but in addition to absolute income, the relative impact of deprivation on the individual can not be ignored. In view of this, this article analyzes and evaluates the existing literature from three aspects: the measure of relative deprivation, the impact mechanism and the empirical results. Most of the empirical results show that relative deprivation has a significant negative impact on individual health, but there are still some problems in related research. First, at the theoretical level, the relative measure of deprivation and the selection of reference groups remain challenging. Second, at the practical level, the relative deprivation of validation of the individual’s health mechanism, the two-way causal relationship between relative deprivation and health, the confusable income and other social-economic status variables, and the historical income deprivation on the current healthy Impact and other aspects still need further study.
