Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and its resulting lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) are common causes of quality of life affecting middle-aged and elderly men. Many patients seek surgical treatment while awaiting observation of poor efficacy and adverse drug reactions. Traditional surgical procedures represented by transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), although of significant efficacy, ignore the need for retention of sexual function and reduce the patient’s quality of life. Coupled with some elderly patients suffering from various medical complications, not suitable for surgery. Prostatic segment urethral suspension (PUL) is a BPH minimally invasive surgical procedure that has arisen in recent years. It has the advantages of less trauma, less perioperative and postoperative complications and more reserved erectile function and ejaculation And other characteristics, has gradually been the attention of physicians and patients.
