马克思主义的普遍原理同中国革命和建设的实际相结合,在理论上曾先后产生了两次历史性飞跃。第一次是毛泽东思想,第二次是邓小平理论。毛泽东思想和邓小平理论作为马克思主义之树上的两个果实,既有同源、同体、同地的共同本质,又有不同时代、不同思路、不同方式的相异特质。只有正确认识二者之间的同异关系,才能深刻理解邓小平理论是中国当代的马克思主义这一科学命题 The combination of the universalist principle of Marxism with the reality of China’s revolution and construction has produced two historic leaps in theory. The first is Mao Zedong Thought and the second is Deng Xiaoping Theory. As the two fruits in the tree of Marxism, Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory have the common essence of the same source, the same entity and the same land as well as the distinct qualities of different times, different ways of thinking and different ways. Only by correctly understanding the similarities and differences between the two can we profoundly understand that Deng Xiaoping Theory is the scientific proposition of contemporary Marxism in China
