The solid cylindrical antenna was analyzed using the Pocklington integral equation with the magnetic flow term in the feed function. This magnetic flow term must be taken into account for accurately solving the current distribution existing on the outer surface of a solid cylindrical antenna. An electric field distribution satisfying the edge condition at the feed gap was used. The numerical analysis based on the electric field distribution was compared with the test results and the results obtained by using the uniform electric field distribution on the feeding gap
