番茄、青椒营养丰富,可食部分达94%以上,是人们喜爱的果菜。但生长季节仅限于春、秋两季,为减少旺季的损失和增加淡季的供应,在较长时间内贮藏番茄和青椒,我们研究掌握以下几项综合技术以供参考。一、选用耐贮品种不同品种的番茄和青椒耐贮性差异很大,同期好果率可相差1倍以上。一般呼吸量小,呼吸高峰值推迟的中晚熟品种比较耐贮。番茄以苏抗5号、历红2号、武红3号、佳粉10号、苏抗7号、中蔬4号等品种较耐贮,青椒以果皮蜡质较多,果肉较厚的苏椒1、2、4号耐贮。
